Yes, you read it right. Don’t plan your Life meticulously. This is an ironic statement isn’t it? When all your life, your elders, your teachers, your time management Gurus, your companies, your bosses, best selling authors who have made millions on Top 10 Steps to Effective Planning- have been working over the top to instill the concept of “Plan your day, in-fact plan every minute of your day; set your goal and create a plan for your Life; keep a planner on your desk, map out your every minute/every hour to achieve your goal; Always stick to your plan; Never deviate from your Plan….. da da da da da…
Well, you set your goal, made a meticulous plan to achieve your goal, you gave yourself a time limit to complete your task and set out to achieve your goal with blinders around your eyes. You kept the alarm next to your bed, you woke up on time, you worked hard on your daily schedule and you arrived at the time limit you had set for yourself AND…you realise you are no where near your Goal. In fact, you realise you have landed up in a totally different direction.
Has this happened to you any time? What did you do once you realised your predicament? Did you beat your self for not achieving your goal? Did you feel inadequate, like you let your self down? Did you beret your self for being incompetent or did you blame your family, your colleagues, your boss, your car, your friends, for not doing what you thought they were supposed to do in order for you to achieve your goal?
